Who we are

Big Brain Stuff (“we”, “us”) helps home improvement businesses get exclusive enquiries. We are operated by Big Brain Stuff Ltd, company number 16117547, registered at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described below.

What information we collect

When you book a call: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), business name, and anything you write in the booking form. Bookings are handled through Calendly.
When you contact us: your name, contact details and the content of your message.
When we contact businesses: business name, the name and job title of the owner or decision maker, and business phone number or email address, taken from public sources such as company websites, Google listings and Companies House.
When you visit this website: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, collected through cookies or similar tools (see “Cookies” below).

How we use your information, and why

To arrange and hold the call you booked, and to follow up about it. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request, and our legitimate interests.
To tell businesses about our service by telephone or email. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in promoting our services to relevant businesses. We screen numbers against the TPS and CTPS registers and do not call numbers registered on them, and we stop contacting you if you ask us to.
To provide our service if you become a client, and to keep records. Lawful basis: contract, and legal obligations.
To run and improve this website. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests, or your consent where the law requires it.

Where we got your details

If we contacted you without you contacting us first, we obtained your business contact details from publicly available sources. You can ask us at any time where your details came from.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the business, such as Calendly (bookings), our website hosting provider (Hostinger), and our email and CRM or spreadsheet tools. These providers act on our instructions or under their own privacy policies. Some of them may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved transfer mechanisms.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your request, then for up to [24] months unless you become a client. Client records are kept for the period needed for contract and tax purposes. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep your name and details on a suppression list so that we do not contact you again.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it (including objecting to marketing at any time), and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
